Heading south

I’ve had a busy couple of weeks. I finished by internship at the Chronicle, and took a week off. I took Oh So galloping and had a dressage and jumping lesson as well. Sam hasn’t been feeling so good from behind, so I’m taking him to Morven Park tomorrow to get a lameness exam. He’s had a couple of good days mixed in with some really off days.

I’ve also started a new part time job at the National Sporting Library in Middleburg, Va. It’s somewhat painful to have to drive past my ideal job (at the Chronicle) everyday, but I’m enjoying myself at the Sporting Library so far.

I’m in the midst of packing for Southern Pines. I’m heading down on Friday with my trusty groom/Dad for Oh So’s first competition of the year. We’re just doing novice as a pipe opener. I’m a little nervous that I won’t have my coach with me. It’s been years since I’ve gone to an event by myself. But I had a good jump  school tonight, so I’m feeling pretty good.
