With a new year, comes new goals. I’ve been thinking about what I’d like to achieve this year with my horses and here’s what I’ve come up with:

Long term: go prelim with Oh So; try third level with Sam.

Short term: fix my jumping position by practicing two point, jumping with shorter stirrups and standing up in my stirrups to get my heels down lower; score consistently at or over 65% at second level with Sam; work on riding dressage tests with Oh So and try to keep our average score around 30-35; continue to work on Oh So’s show jumping; push through sitting trot with Oh So.

We’ve had a mild stretch of weather finally in Va., so I’ve had some time to really ride. I also took a few photos of Toppers jumping.
